A look that matches the music instead of fighting it.
Photo direction and online look for Gleb, a music artist building a name: one rooftop, a worn-down skyline and a look that matches the music.

Overview
Gleb is a music artist building a name, and he needed a visual side as sharp as the sound.
We directed the photography and shaped how it shows up online. The idea was simple: one rooftop, a worn-down skyline and a look that matches the music instead of fighting it. No studio backdrop, no style borrowed from someone bigger. The place does most of the work.

The challenge
A new artist usually meets people as a thumbnail, in a feed or on a streaming app, long before anyone presses play. Studio portraits all look alike, and a borrowed look gets found out fast. The pictures had to come from the same place as the music, and still work at every size, from a poster down to a profile picture.
One rooftop, one skyline
We kept it to one location: a rooftop above panel-block housing, under an open sky. Strong colour in the clothes, concrete everywhere else. It is local and honest, and it crops well, from a full poster down to a small square.

From shoot to screen
The same shots run through the artwork and the online look, so a fan who sees one recognises the rest. The artwork mixes the rooftop portrait with tower blocks and a noticeboard, so even the cover stays on the same streets. One strong look used everywhere beats a new idea for every post.
